Marlborough Town Hall sits in the centre of the very wide High Street, majestically facing towards the busy market town. The first town hall was a medieval structure which was built in 1654 and remodelled in 1793 and 1867.The current Town Hall stands on the same site and was opened in October 1902. Now Grade II listed, it was built in the Dutch style which was very popular with the Edwardians. The exterior was given a complete makeover in 2004 for the 800th anniversary of the Town's Charter.

Marlborough displays the confidence of wealth from times past, yet today remains vibrant and progressive with its own chic café culture
