A period photo of Strand on the Green shows The Bulls Head with cottages in the foreground needing some TLC. Render falling, and a picket fence that had seen better days.
Its much more salubrious nowadays.
My picture with the same view from a different angle shows that at some point it was re-rendered and painted white.
The robust Victorian structure of Kew Railway Bridge was designed by W. R. Galbraith, built by Brassey & Ogilvie and opened in 1869. It was given Grade II listed structure protection in 1983. The Bulls Head also Grade II listed, was licensed by the mid-18th century.
